Another summer has come and gone. If you have been following along for the last 5 years you know one of my favorite things about our summers is that we get to have my kids for a couple of weeks. Every summer the kids and I brainstorm a theme for our annual photo shoot. It was wonderful to do our shoot this year because last year we weren’t able to due to, well you know…I don’t even like to say that dreaded C word anymore. They were equally as excited as I was to get back to our annual tradition. This year we decided on a NEUTRAL theme. As you all may know neutrals, have been dominating. Neutral colors range from black, white, tan, grey and various shades of brown. The neutral we decided on was tan/cream. Neutral tones are extremely versatile and chic. Some peeps would advice to wear neutrals during the summer, for example linen. Which I totally agree but I also believe neutrals are appropriate for any season because it gives a sense of power and charisma. The beauty of wearing neutrals is that they all pair together without competing with each other. For our shoot I aimed at adding pattern and textures to keep it from looking too drab…lace, linen, cotton, stripes and satin. I also played with the different shades of the neutral hue of choice. I created and outfit for each one of us that is unique and versatile. Having a beautiful location also definitely helps. I will now take the time to give Dane Fabrication a HUGE thank you for letting us shoot in this beautiful space.

Now, let’s breakdown our individual looks for this lux creamy affair. We shall start with Mitzi, after all she is the eldest of my angels. She is giving us Greek Goddess with this beautiful creamy and flowing jumper from Saks Fifth Avenue. Mitzi’s jewelry includes curved dropped earrings, the Princess Flower collection pendent necklace paired with their Venetian Princess collection necklace from Roberto Coin. Also adorning her neck is a Penny Preville diamond chain necklace. On her finger you will find a mother of pearl ring from the Petali collection by Marco Bicego along with a diamond ring strategically place at the end of her braid from Annamaria Cammilli.

Chai, my nephew is donning linen pants, tank and jacket from ZARA. His slip on shoes are from Balenciaga. His gold and diamond necklace, bracelets and rings are all from David Yurman paired with the Autavia watch from Tag Heuer.

My little diva, Sophia is wearing a top and shorts from ZARA and shoes from Steve Madden. Her bling is a Marco Bicego Paradise collection three-strand necklace and Africa Boules collection turquoise ring and the cherry on top are her Penny Preville double hoop earrings.

To conclude this fashion fiesta, yours truly is wearing a BALMAIN crewneck sweatshirt from Halls paired with linen striped pants from ZARA and espadrilles from Chanel. The bracelets include a Streamline collection leather bracelet with diamonds, a rubber and gold chevron bracelet and a gold chevron chain bracelet along with black titanium and gold signet ring with cognac diamonds from David Yurman. To top off my outfit I am wearing a hat from KC’s very own Amina Hood. Last but certainly not least I would like to give my sincerest gratitude to TIVOL for trusting me with their brand…GRACIAS!!
